Redondante

"... within the new business structure your role will be disestablished...''

There was no surprise in hearing those words and yet immediate apprehension of looming unemployment still struck me. Yesterday was an odd day, at parts raw and rough, others unexpectantly wonderful. The overwhelming message from those who know and love me was to embrace the silver lining and inevitable change because
On a much simplier note for most of the day I wanted to go home, curl up and sleep but once again my commitment to Chloe and this blog kept me on track. Unfortunately Auckland traffic prevented me from making my 5.30pm Step class so instead I donned my raincoat and headed for Portland Road, a hideous hill a few blocks from my house. I guess it is simply a case of watch this space. Failing all else a fellow redundant colleague and I may open a patisserie, I suggested we call it Redondante because if we're honest all french pastries are redundant for nutrition but oh so good for the taste buds and if I may be corny (#1 fan you'll love this) the soul.

[Pizey, waiting until Monday, awesome walk up Mt Hobson and Pump class this morning.]
